Sacrebleu!!!! C'est un chat dans le cafe!!!!

And that is my terrible French. There really was a cat in the cafe though. It was super cute and right across from Notre Dame. We woke got into Paris on Tuesday morning and immediately went on a bus tour of the city. Our guide argued with the driver when we got there which of course was entertaining to watch, although we could not understand what they were saying. Our tour was a bit overwhelming as there was so much to look at and so much being talked about by the guide at the same time, but we survived. We checked into our hotel which was very cute. Lainey Ashley and I all roomed together. Once settled we went on a little adventure to explore the area and find some dinner. Much to our dismay vegan food was not easily found in nearby. We settled for some pasta with pesto and French cidre which kind of tastes like weird olive juice. Our hotel was right next to Republique so we had the giant lady cymbol of France staring down our street. This made it easy to find our way home from exploring. After dinner Lainey and I went to the Eiffel Tower. It glitters like a disco ball at night and is actually quite beautiful. We did the tourist thing and took a million pictures, all of which will be in a seperate post :) The next day we all went on the metro to try to get into the Catacombes. One card did not work which led to some not so nice interactions with the locals. We figured it out on our own eventually but it was not a fun ordeal. We got to the Catacombes and waited in line for as long as we could then had to leave before going in to be on time for our class trip to Printemps. Printemps was amazing. They had an incredible and very in depth presentation for our entire class. We were there for 4 hours and learned everything from their internal structures, their visual merchandising, their style department, and had tours of everything. They also had a very nice tea, and treats break for us. After class us ladies headed over to Notre Dame which is beautiful. Another million photos were taken including photos of the cat in the cafe haha. We had a walking adventure with the remainder of our class this morning. We ended up breaking off early for another shot at the Catacombes. We made it in this time and the wait was well worth it. It gets pretty eerie down there. You walk for what seems like forever down and down into the earth. You eventually make it to two black and white pillars that lead into the masses and masses of skeletons. Thousands and thousands of skeletons line the walkways. The bones are all stacked so perfectly and neatly. Some of them even make designs. Alot of time and care went into creating those halls of bodies. Paris was not at all what I expected. Maybe I had it hyped up in my mind too much. It reminded me a lot of Los Angeles, with some prettier buildings. I think maybe if we had the time to explore a little more then we might have been more fond of the place. I do want to go back to see the Louvre so maybe it will get a second chance. Lainey and I are now back in London and waiting to go catch the bus to get on a plane to Germany. We were very excited to get back to London we really love it here. Hopefully we sleep on the plane or we will not be very pleasant. I miss everyone!

P.S. Mom we really were on a Paris train that emerged in London rain :)
